I don't know what to say I mean are people crazy.
Were supposed to be in a recession and they are spending money they supposedly don't have.
I can't see spending $500/$1500 for a phone when most likely the phone they have is not that old.
I only get a new phone when I have to, and it hasn't always been a pleasant experience.
I had a flip phone, motorola razor, it was great, no butt dialing but at some point I was going to have go to a 'smart phone' as I was building websites for mobile devices and couldn't tell if they were working.
Well one of my clients said he would buy one for me but I still held out till one day my razor ear speaker quit working so I went to cricket who was my provider and they sold me a 'smart phone' which worked ok for a few months then they said I had to buy a new one as they were upgrading their network and mine wouldn't work on it.
So back to the store to find out why the assholes sold me a phone that was going to be obsolete which they had to know, butt heads just well they couldn't do anything about that so a new again.
Which worked out ok till they texted me that they were upgrading their system again and I had to get another one, I held for a while then went in and was talked into another new phone but the stupid thing kept giving me alerts about having to turn data and some other crap which I have never used, when I want to get on the innerwebs I just use my home wifi, turns out they weren't going to change networks for 6 months so I asked for my old phone.
Nope can't do that because they can't turn it on for the new network or some such shit and they couldn't get the notifications from to stop popping up so I left those asshole and went to verizon, which wasn't bad but all the phones now are almost tablet size, I mean come on if I want something that big I have 3 tablets at home, don't need to carry one around with me, I'm not going to be watching youtube while I'm driving.
But anyways don't be crying about the economy if you are going to be paying that kind of money for a new phone or new tablet when you most likely don't need it so you can keep up with the jones.
